Overview
The Service Advisor is responsible for communicating with customers about their vehicle repair needs and relay information to the Service Technicians. Duties include greeting customers, helping them determine repairs and relevant costs, maintaining knowledge of Boss Shops range of services, and contacting customers to update them about their vehicle's repair status.
Pay and Benefits
Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $25.00/hr. This range is provided by Boss Truck Shops Inc. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience. Bosselman benefits may include:

Responsibilities
- Greets customers promptly and provides friendly, competent customer service.
- Coordinates the service center's scheduling and workflow.
- Performs service writing for the location, including creating estimates and work orders, finalizing payments, following cash handling policies, and parts ordering and receiving for all jobs.
- Answers customer questions about service outcomes and consults with Technicians as needed.
- Understands marketing and sales strategies to finalize all transactions.
- Consults with Technicians about needed repairs and communicates those needs to the customer.
- Maintains knowledge of products and services to meet industry needs.
- Communicates customer needs to Technicians and vice versa.
- Keeps all customer-facing items cleaned, stocked, and up to date.
- Receives merchandise, stocks, and updates pricing for showroom products.
- Maintains understanding of the Boss Shop Warranty process.
- Assigns work to technicians within company guidelines.
- Adheres to company safety policies and procedures.
- Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- Retail or guest service experience preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Driver's license and insurable to drive.
- Working knowledge of parts inventory.
- Ability to complete the Service Advisor New Team Member Training within the first 90 days of employment.
- Competent with computer systems.
- Ability to read, write and perform math skills.
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- Flexible and able to adapt to change when required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.
- Reliable transportation and phone.
- Ability to communicate in English (if applicable).
- Willingness to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other team members.
Physical Requirements
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The role requires standing, walking, using hands and fingers, reaching, talking, and hearing.
