Overview

Plans, manages, and executes activities for multiple projects to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within a prescribed time frame by performing any combination of all essential duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

This position will be part of the xEV Regional Production Engineering (PE) group for Hybrid and Electric Vehicle products and will be responsible for activities and support for Electric Motor programs. The Production Support Engineer will assist the team in the modification and sourcing of equipment by supporting processes, scheduling, and creating and modifying documentation, including specifications, processes documentation, quotations, and other documentation for programs related to electric motor products. Also, this role will identify synergy potentials across programs and establish and apply best practices to drive cost effective solutions.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills)

  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create and maintain manufacturing documentation such as PPAPs, control plans, work instructions, equipment specifications, and process flow diagrams.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and industry documentation standards.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, project management, and document control tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external customers.
  • Well organized, attention to detail, and able to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Willingness to support the corporate culture with an absolute focus on ethics and fairness.

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills)

  • Experience within the automotive industry, preferably in a manufacturing engineering or quality role.
  • Knowledge of APQP, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical devices.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Education

4-year university degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or related technical field.

Experience

Minimum of 1–3 years applicable experience in controls and robotics engineering.

Job level determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.
