Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Beaverton, OR. The successful candidate will conduct a comprehensive assessment of current capabilities across apparel and footwear, identify gaps, and develop strategies to enhance processes and suggest solutions. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and integrity of materials, colors, and ultimately products. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in material/product development, quality assurance, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current capabilities across apparel and footwear and identify gaps.
• Develop strategies to enhance processes and propose effective solutions.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of materials, colors, and final products.
• Apply knowledge of product development and quality assurance to drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and monitor results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Textiles Science, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent education/experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, quality assurance, or a related field, preferably in the footwear and/or apparel industry.
• End-to-end experience in footwear and/or apparel, from concepting to manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of textile manufacturing, including dyeing, finishing, printing, testing, and industry material trends.
• Intermediate technical materials knowledge (fibers, yarns, knits, wovens) and materials testing/inspection.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify gaps and develop solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills; ability to present complex data clearly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to work independently, be proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and responsible.
• Intermediate experience in Smartsheet, Tableau, Miro, Slack is a plus.
• Project and time management skills with a commitment to delivering results on time.
• Ability to maintain focus and drive through ambiguity and change.
