Position: Manufacturing Engineer

Duration: 1-year long term contract + potential for perm & extensions

Location: Cleveland Engine Plant, Cleveland OH

Compensation: $35/hr to $38/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education.

Review all machines for assembly and test for 28MY and 29M CEP Cyclone programs.
Review all machines for assembly and test for GEMBA and CAFM items.
Support in-plant installation and launch of new equipment at Cleveland Engine Plant.
Work with each OEM and follow all tryouts, machine capability confirmations and run-offs at machine tool supplier facilities and at CEP.
Collect shipping paperwork of Assembly and Test equipment and provide to PTME for PAR documentation.
Support the development of all Quality documentation per launch readiness.
Develop and manage open issues list for the responsible machines.
Manage within master timing charts with corrective actions and recovery plans identified where needed.
Review Workstation Readiness during each program milestone and work to close out open issues by coordinating trades and materials, creating AutoCAD layouts, drawings, and assembling aids and error proofing.
Support all Production Trial Runs and daily Whiteboard meetings during Rate of Climb.
Work on cycle time reduction actions and process rebalancing as needed.

Must Haves: 3+ years of experience as a manufacturing or process engineer
Industry experience: automotive or automation
Experience with engines, transmissions, or assembly
Assembly experience: automation, conveyors
Troubleshooting experience and ability to collaborate with plant teams and trades for parts issues
