Mankato Area Public Schools is hiring: Substitute Custodian in Mankato

Overview

Substitute Custodians are on an On-Call Basis Monday - Friday with shifts available as described below. There are no benefits associated with these substitute positions.

District: Mankato Area Public Schools

Base pay range: $18.77/hr - $19.10/hr. Starting at $18.77 - $19.10 per hour.

Schedule

• 1st Shift - 7 am to 3:30 pm
• 2nd Shift - 3 pm to 11:30 pm
• 4 hr shift - 3 pm to 7:00 pm

Note: This position is not permanent and is filled on an on-call basis. Pay is based on experience and qualifications. Final pay will be confirmed with the recruiter.

Job Responsibilities

• Cleaning of classrooms, halls, gym, lavatories. Gather and dispose of refuse. Move furniture as needed. Help set up equipment for sports events.
• Must be able to lift safely. Must be able to work well with others and work alone. Follow written instructions.
• Custodial Training Time - Total 3 hours. Initial custodial training approx. 2 hours. Safety training 1 hour. Paid training.
• A background check is required prior to starting ($15.00).

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial/maintenance is not explicitly required; positions are on-call and on an entry level basis.
