48forty Solutions is hiring: FORKLIFT OPERATOR in Midway

Overview

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll move pallets and other materials through the different areas of the warehouse, supporting production requirements in those areas, as well as loading and unloading customer trailers. Forklift Operators may also sort pallets by hand and repair damaged wooden pallets in some locations. This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site!

Salary and Schedule

Hourly Pay: $17.50/hr

Shift(s): Saturday - Tuesday 4:00 pm - 2:30 am

Location: Midway, TN 37809

Responsibilities

• Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment
• Operate forklifts with care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times
• Hand-sort wooden pallets when required
• Repair wooden pallets using a nail gun when required
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Forklift certification preferred
• 1-3 years of forklift experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, or construction is strongly preferred
• Willingness to work in a labor-intensive environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Willing to work overtime as needed

Work Environment

• Ability to work in extreme conditions (elements, heat, cold, air particulate)
• Repetitive movement and varying shifts on a forklift
• Noise level varies by location
• PPE required (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required: near, far, color vision
• May be required to lift pallets by hand (50–75 lbs)
