Responsibilities

• Stage and inventory waste containers throughout the facility
• Ensure the integrity of waste containers
• Inspect waste containers for proper labeling and regulatory compliance
• Move full waste containers or containers that have reached regulatory time limits
• Manage waste in centralized storage by segregating by waste type, emptying containers into a roll-off, and compacting waste in the roll-off
• Record container into computer tracking system
• Participate in spill response
• Respond to trouble calls
• Operate specified routes driving a forklift, APV, tug, or other industrial truck
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• Perform decontamination activities, such as cleaning the respirator
• Ensure proper functioning of, cleaning, and maintenance of PPE
• Comply with safety policies and procedures
• Operate forklift safely and effectively
• Operate power tools, lifts, and other equipment safely
• Assist with non-hazardous waste as needed
• Provide additional support as needed
