TGA Sports is hiring: Youth Sports Instructor in Town/Village of Harrison

Overview

TGA of Southern Westchester is excited to announce an opening for a Youth Sports Instructor. We are dedicated to providing safe, engaging, and impactful sports programs for youth ages 5-15 in schools and communities. As a Youth Sports Instructor, you will teach foundational skills in a variety of sports, including golf, tennis and pickleball, while instilling essential life lessons such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for physical activity.

You will lead after-school programs and camps that cater to various skill levels, designing fun and effective drills, games, and lessons while using positive reinforcement to motivate young athletes. This is a part-time role with flexible schedules, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children while enjoying the sport you love.

Responsibilities

• Lead after-school programs and camps for youth ages 5-15 in schools and community settings
• Teach foundational skills in golf, tennis, and pickleball
• Design and implement engaging drills, games, and lessons
• Create a positive, inclusive, safe environment for all participants
• Provide positive reinforcement and motivate students to participate and improve

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Pass a clean background check
• Ability to work part-time with availability during after-school hours (2:30 PM and later)
• Reliable transportation; programming is provided on-site at schools, local golf courses, parks, and tennis courts throughout lower Westchester County
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to create a positive and safe environment for kids
• Excitement for teaching kids and sharing the games of golf, tennis, and pickleball
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable communicating with children and parents
