Champion athletes understand the relentless pursuit of excellence. Your medals, trophies, and accolades tell a story of sacrifice and determination. But what happens when the spotlight fades? At Texas Sports Academy, we're offering elite athletes a new arena to conquer – transforming young lives through mentorship.

We're revolutionizing K-12 education by integrating athletics as a fundamental pillar of character development, not just an extracurricular activity. This isn't about teaching geometry or grading essays – it's about leveraging your world-class athletic experience to forge resilience, discipline, and leadership in tomorrow's champions. You'll ignite passion through dynamic morning sessions, provide targeted one-on-one guidance, and cultivate mental toughness through structured athletic training.

If you're passionate about creating impact beyond trophies and medals, this is your opportunity to build a lasting legacy.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Orchestrating powerful morning motivation sessions that prepare students mentally and physically for daily challenges
  • Conducting personalized coaching conversations focused on academic achievement and character development
  • Designing and delivering interactive workshops that translate athletic principles into life success strategies
  • Executing strategic afternoon training sessions engineered to build mental toughness and team cohesion
  • Implementing performance tracking systems that celebrate progress and address growth opportunities

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering conventional academic instruction or curriculum
  • Taking a passive approach to student development
  • Conducting disorganized or purposeless athletic activities
  • Handling bureaucratic paperwork or academic assessment responsibilities
  • Working with casual or hobby-level athletes without competitive aspirations

Sports Mentor Key Responsibilities

Guide exceptional student-athletes toward holistic excellence through immersive daily coaching that translates elite athletic principles into academic performance and character development, creating a foundation for lifelong achievement.

Basic Requirements

  • Athletic credentials at the pinnacle of sports achievement: Olympic participation, World Championship experience, professional careers in major leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, NHL), or NCAA Division I All-American honors
  • Undergraduate degree (field of study open)
  • Demonstrated success translating athletic principles into broader life skill development
  • Track record of inspiring excellence and driving performance in athletic, educational, or professional environments
  • Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
  • Commitment to residing in the Austin, TX metropolitan area
