KFDA, Newschannel10, the market leader, is looking for a Sports reporter and weekend sports anchor to join our winning team in Amarillo, Texas. We are seeking a good storyteller who wants to learn in a winning environment with a focus on hyper-local sports. You will be an integral part of our local sports empire with regular newscasts and sports shows dedicated to local sports.
Responsibilities
- Shoot and edit video.
- Communicate effectively live on-air.
- Cover local sports stories with a focus on unique, human-centric angles.
- Contribute to regular newscasts and sports shows dedicated to local sports.
- Collaborate with the sports team to develop compelling storytelling and top-quality production.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Ability to shoot and edit video and present live on air.
- Flexibility in scheduling to respond to changing coverage needs.
- A four-year degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- A strong passion for telling unique local sports stories rather than regurgitating national coverage.
