We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist for our Fraud Team. Role Overview
As a Data Scientist, Fraud Detection at IAS, you will be integral to innovation and core product development. You will push the boundaries of machine learning (ML) applications, delivering solutions that serve our clients. Responsibilities
- Drive research within the fraud data science team to enhance IVT (invalid traffic) detection across various platforms.
- Collaborate with Threat Lab to understand evolving fraud schemes and develop innovative solutions.
- Develop automated IVT detection systems, communicate their value, and demonstrate their business impact.
- Own projects end-to-end, collaborating with team members, mentoring junior scientists, and contributing to IAS’s data science impact.
- Work with engineers to integrate fraud detection solutions into broader workflows.
- Mentor junior data scientists to foster innovation and high-quality solutions.
- Respond to incidents internally and for clients as they occur.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience applying quantitative and ML methods to solve analytical problems in a business environment.
- Practical experience building ML systems, including data labeling and end-to-end ownership from prototyping to deployment and monitoring.
- Knowledge of current ML research and deep learning applications.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis.
- Expertise in Python and R for statistical computation.
- Strong storytelling skills with data and understanding of data flow in systems.
- Curiosity about data problems and a commitment to thorough analysis.
- A passion for science, the scientific method, and collaboration among practitioners.
Additional Information
For California applicants, the salary range is $100,800 - $172,800, depending on experience and location.
