Overview

Porter position for cleaning and related duties. The role includes facility cleaning, equipment maintenance, and supporting general operations as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, scrub, and mop floors
• Dust furniture and fittings
• Empty and clean trash containers; dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
• Clean and stock restrooms
• Wipe down glass surfaces
• Wash windows as scheduled
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements
• Other duties as assigned

Porter Qualifications

• Courteous and pleasant to all guests
• Ability to work as a team with fellow porters and other staff
• English speaking skills are beneficial, but not required
• Ability to follow directions from supervisors/managers
• Experience in porter or janitorial work is a plus, but not required
• Previous job references are required
• Availability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays may be required

Physical Requirements

• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds
• Frequently standing and moving about the facility
• Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
• Frequent bending, standing, stooping, and kneeling
