Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) with a passion to educate, promote, and treat oral care. Our office serves a diverse patient population in northeast Columbus and offers a comfortable, family-oriented work environment where patients are not treated like numbers, and the staff is valued like family. Responsibilities

  1. Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
  2. Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
  3. Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
  4. Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection
  5. Perform dental hygiene services including plaque removal, dental prophylaxis, fluoride, sealants, scaling, and root planning
  6. Teach good oral hygiene techniques
  7. Take x-rays
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality
  9. Assist dentist during procedures and exams as needed
  10. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
  11. Provide all care in conjunction with accepted professional dental practices and standards

Qualifications

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of dental hygiene
  2. Current Dental Hygienist licensure
  3. At least 2-3 years of experience in dental hygiene
  4. Current CPR certification (re-certification provided)
  5. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
  6. Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  7. Excellent communication and customer service skills
