Overview

These nurses work with patients who are not hospitalized and visit the clinic for various medical services, including routine check-ups, diagnostic tests, and minor procedures. The RN\'s duties typically include conducting patient assessments, administering medications, providing patient education and counseling, assisting with diagnostic tests and procedures, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive appropriate care. They may also be responsible for managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and coordinating care with other healthcare providers. Overall, the outpatient clinic RN plays a critical role in ensuring patients receive high-quality care in a comfortable and convenient setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Provide patient education and counseling regarding care plans and treatments.
• Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures as needed.
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Manage patient records and scheduling; coordinate care across providers.

Qualifications

• Current, active license as a registered nurse in the state of practice (NCLEX-RN required; meet any state-specific requirements).
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
