Overview

Yard Hostler Night Shift role at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits in Shakopee, MN. This is a production position involving yard tractors, tractors and straight trucks, and related warehouse duties.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspection and thoroughly inspect trucks
• Move all trucks in and around the premises
• Assist in picking products for production from various warehouse locations
• Operate warehouse equipment
• Track all containers coming onto and leaving the premises
• Perform acceptance of inbound loads (per company standards)
• Close and seal trucks after loading is completed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience
• Must have a current Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move more than 60 pounds

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
• Regular work near moving mechanical parts and exposure to fumes
• Must be able to sit and operate machinery such as a forklift
• Additional hours may be required during peak periods (October–December)
• Must be able to frequently lift/carry or push/pull 60 pounds

Schedule and Compensation

Mon–Thu, 4 ten-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM, plus mandatory overtime. Starting pay range from $30.00/hour to $34.00/hour depending on experience. Availability for immediate placement.
