Data Scientist II

Dynamic Solutions Technology, LLC , a premier strategic services firm that meets IT and service needs for commercial and government clients, is seeking a full-time Data Scientist II to support a DoD customer. The position is based in San Diego, CA .

Responsibilities:

1. Work on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a program and perform all functional duties independently.
2. Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
3. Develop and implement techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
4. Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
5. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings.
6. Create dynamic data reports.
7. Perform software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts.
8. Utilize scripting languages such as Python and R, along with common packages used in data science applications.

Qualifications Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• OR Associate's Degree in the same fields with 4 years of additional relevant experience.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant focused experience.

• CompTIA Cloud Essentials, Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA), Certificate of Cloud Security (CCSK)
• CompTIA A+
• CompTIA Security+
• EMC Data Science Associate (EMCDSA), Cloudera Certified Data Scientist (CCDH)
• Certified Apache Hadoop Developer
• Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD)
• Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD)
• Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE), Private Cloud Certified

Experience and Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to learn and apply technical concepts.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and R, and related packages.
• Experience with data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with API building, ETL pipelines, web application servers, or search indexing.
• Experience with programming tools like Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Numpy, Requests.
• Ability to apply complex mathematical and statistical concepts.
• Experience with statistical and operations research methods.
