Responsibilities

  • Schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
  • Perform housekeeping duties (making beds, vacuuming, cleaning).
  • Verify and update status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
  • Inspect randomly selected rooms to ensure cleanliness and brand standards are met.
  • Coach and provide corrective action to housekeeping associates on performance and discrepancies.
  • Notify General Manager and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs in rooms or on property.
  • Interview, hire, develop, and discipline direct employees.
  • Conduct property walks and report identified deficiencies.
  • Assist in scheduling employees and tracking time and attendance.
  • Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Manage housekeeping inventory and ensure the team has tools, supplies, and resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED. Post-high school education preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in-housekeeping leadership experience.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Basic math skills.
  • HMS and/or experience using a property management system (PMS).
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members.
  • Excellent time management skills.
