Sidekick is hiring: Soft Goods Designer (ankle brace) in Germany

Overview

We are looking for a talented freelance/contract designer to help us create knitted colorways and patterns for our upcoming line of ankle braces — and potentially other braces in the future. The goal is to beautify the brace and make it visually appealing while fitting seamlessly into our brand style. You\'ll work closely with our product team to translate brand direction into unique knitted looks, and provide design files and specifications suitable for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop knitted colorways and patterns for ankle braces and potential future braces.
• Work with the product team to translate brand direction into visually appealing knitted designs.
• Provide design files and specifications suitable for manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio in textile/knitwear design (sportswear, medical, or performance products a plus).
• Proven experience developing colorways and patterns
• Solid understanding of color theory, pattern creation, and knit design software/tools.
• Ability to design within a brand\'s visual identity
• Must include portfolio with application.
• Open to applicants worldwide (remote)
