Finished Goods Line Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Location: Watertown, WI

Starting Hourly Rate: $24.09. Pay Range: $24.09 - $26.57 per hour. Hours: Line 2: 4:50am – 2:00pm (Overtime as production demands, including weekends).

Position Overview: Your contribution will ensure that Johnsonville products are of the highest quality and meet our defined standards of safety. You’ll learn about a variety of line processes, expanding your knowledge for application into the business of making sausage. There is unlimited opportunity for growth as you become an active contributor to the Finished Goods Line Team and support continual improvement.

Responsibilities

• Operate and learn different machines/positions on the line which may include:
• Labeler
• Wrapping Machine operator
• Case packing operator
• Quality Enhancement Specialist
• Casings
• Meat Delivery
• Stuffing operator
• Traying
• Line Support
• Proper setup and teardown of equipment
• Accurately perform SAP transactions related to job duties
• Take ownership for personal safety and the safety of all Members working around you

Education

• High School Diploma Preferred

Experience

• Machine Operator background preferred
• Ability to obtain forklift certification and maintain a good safety record if job duties require a forklift
• SAP experience preferred but not required

Skills And Competencies

• Basic mechanical skills and aptitude for equipment setup and operation
• Knowledge of equipment functions and ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to read and understand a production schedule
• Identify and resolve potential problems
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
• Desire to learn, grow, and share information with fellow Members
• Continuously improve performance and job knowledge
• Excellent prioritization and attention to detail related to product quality
• Excellent attendance and performance record
• Proactive team player, dependable and detail oriented
• Ability to identify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and maintain all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Ability to read/write and complete production documentation accurately
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be at least 18 years old

Physical Demands

• Hand grip up to 50 lbs; lift/carry/push/pull up to 30 lbs
• Walking/standing, bending/reaching during shift
• Willingness to work in cold conditions

• Pass pre-employment, post-offer drug screen, physical and background check
