Description
Summary of position:
The Director of Analytics and Systems Integration is a cross-functional leader who uses their technical skills and vision to improve processes and demonstrate success for Walker programs. The Director uses data to demonstrate the success or gaps in Walker programs for all Walker clients and to recommend improvements to policies, programs, and practices to better meet our mission. The Director works with managers to design effective data collection tools to populate data visualizations that deliver the right data for Walker managers to effectively manage their programs and demonstrate successful outcomes.
The Director’s critical functions are:
- Manage Walker’s data reporting and analysis systems to providing scheduled and ad hoc reporting and evaluation of Walker process and outcome measures to inform decision making.
- Define measures clearly and ensure data quality and consistency through rigorous data governance
- Design, implement, and support dashboards and other analytic tools that provide Walker teams with actionable data for treatment, evaluation of initiatives, and improving program outcomes.
- Identify Walker priorities for Tableau, negotiate deliverables with vendor, and manage project to completion
- Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of demographic, service, financial, and outcome information as required by internal and external stakeholders (e.g., licensing reporting, grant reporting, internal improvement efforts)
- Ensure consistent upgrades to key systems (e.g., myEvolv)
- Project manage new system implementations to improve data collection, reporting, and/or analysis
- Lead program managers in annual Logic Model goal setting and quarterly improvement process
- Collaborate with managers, directors and VPs in developing and evaluating an Improvement Plan following the Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle
- Work with CIO on risk assessment, goal setting, and mitigation strategies
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in information management, data analytics or related field; coursework in evaluation, statistics, and / or research methods.
Preferred: Master’s degree with coursework in evaluation, statistics, and / or research methods.
Experience
Required: At least 3 years in a position responsible for database management, analytics, and/ or data visualization; experience in project management; demonstrated ability to lead a team in goal planning; experience extracting data from databases (e.g., Access, SQL); experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Stata); d emonstrated experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); experience following research design and participating in evaluations; experience analyzing and interpreting data, reports and general statistical information.
Preferred: Experience at designing and carrying out small- to medium–scale program evaluations or research initiatives; experience accessing and employing large datasets for benchmarking.

Physical Abilities
Required: Ability to climb stairs; ability to work at a computer for up to 8 hours; ability to type.
Essential functions:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop data definitions and reporting formats for key metrics and performance indicators to better assess their impact on Walker clients.
- Design and implement data feeds and visualizations that provide program leaders with the information they need to make effective decisions and improve practice.
- Develop statements of work and contracts with vendors to implement dashboards for key performance metrics, fidelity to practice model measures, and program outcomes.
- Develop ideas for new systems and integrations to streamline data collection and evaluation for Walker programs and departments.
- Lead evaluation activities for programs as required by grants, funding agencies, and insurance payers.
- Develop schedule and manage improvement cycle process
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
- Train and support program and department managers in using Walker’s data analytic tools to inform decision making.
- Define and implement procedures and codebooks to ensure the quality of Walker data and analytics.
- Conduct investigations when needed under direction of Chief Information Officer
- Direct supervision of Systems Support Technician and interns in data entry, management, and evaluation tasks.
- All other duties, as assigned.
