Compensation, Benefits, and Opportunities

  • Starting hourly wage during the training program: $16.88/hour. After a successful 90-day review, wage increases to $17.64/hour.

  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Essential Role Functions

  • RECRUITING: Seeks the right fits, interviews, and places new hires into the right positions.
  • DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING: Develops and trains team members to reach their full potential.
  • ACHIEVING RESULTS: Drives action based on store metrics and performance.
  • CLUB READINESS: Maintains club readiness to meet quality standards.
  • HUMAN RESOURCES: Hires, manages employee status, wages, schedules, etc.
  • ADMIN & FACILITIES: Assists with administrative tasks and upkeep of equipment and facilities.
  • FITNESS OVERSIGHT: Supports and engages fitness instructors to reach new members.
  • TECHNOLOGICAL APTITUDE: Operates iPad/tablet, Microsoft Office, POS, and member management system; proficient with the company app.

Assistant Manager in Training Program

Upon hire, you enter an 8- to 12-week training program with the aim of developing into an Assistant Manager at a Planet Fitness location. You remain in the training program until requirements and standards are met, including a 60- to 90-day review. Upon successful completion, you are designated as Assistant Manager. If performance and standards are met earlier, promotion may occur sooner. Location placement depends on company needs and may adjust based on priorities.

Compensation: $16.88 - $17.64 per hour.
