Job Overview

Would you like to manage relationships with the Private Equity (PE) community and influence their decision-making towards utilizing Amazon Web Services for their portfolio companies' infrastructure? Do you possess the business acumen, technical insight, and background to engage with the PE ecosystem and help establish Amazon as a leader in cloud computing?

As a Business Development Manager within AWS, you will help shape and execute strategies to increase awareness and usage of Amazon’s cloud platform among PE firms and their portfolio companies. Your responsibilities include identifying target PEs, building strategic relationships, and collaborating with the AWS sales team to foster long-term business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive AWS market and technical strategy as part of the Business Development team.
  • Identify and engage with key PEs with infrastructure needs.
  • Implement strategic business development plans with internal stakeholders.
  • Support PEs and their portfolio companies in utilizing AWS services effectively.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com and other internal systems for tracking and managing engagements.
  • Present business reviews to senior management on progress and challenges.
  • Act as the primary representative of AWS to the PE community.
  • Manage a high volume of engagements in a fast-paced market.
  • Maintain a basic technical understanding of relevant cloud and infrastructure concepts.

Qualifications

Basic
  • 5+ years experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
  • 5+ years professional or military experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience influencing organizational decision-making.
  • Experience managing cross-functional programs and processes.
Preferred
  • Data analysis and business recommendation skills.
  • Experience in negotiating complex legal agreements.
