Overview

Fitness Trainer role at ComForCare Home Care (Raleigh, NC). Reports to: Club Manager. Status: Full Time/Non-Supervisor/Non-Exempt. Job Summary: Responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to use the equipment properly and safely.
• Create creative and unique ways to promote PE@PF class sign-ups.
• Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Assist in front desk related activities including: answer phones, check members into the system, new member sign-up, take potential members on tours, and update member account information.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Team Lead, MIT or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club and its appearance.

• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve
• Diplomacy in all interactions with appropriate behavior and language
• Completed fitness trainer certification

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
• Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs less than 30% of the time
