Job Summary

We are seeking a Group Fitness Instructor to join our successful gym. As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will plan and lead fitness classes, ensuring that people of all fitness levels are able to participate. Your goal is to help clients reach their fitness objectives and have fun while doing it! The ideal candidate is a positive, engaging teacher with a passion for fitness. This position requires a background in HIIT and Bootcamp Instruction. This is a Contract Postion.

Responsibilities

Lead a wide variety of classes to fitness studio members and guests

Develop classes that are physically challenging, while keeping students engaged and safe

Set the tone for each class with music and encouragement

Encourage students to continue with their pursuit of exercising and help them make good health decisions

Promote programs, classes, and membership through social media and networking

Deliver exceptional customer service in accordance with business policies

Reset the Group Fitness Room following each class

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED required

Current personal trainer or fitness instructor certification

Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred

First aid and CPR-certified

Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills
