Global Power Components is hiring: Forklift Drivers in South Milwaukee

Overview

Global Power Components is a privately held manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. We are seeking 1st & 2nd shift Material Handlers to assist in the movement of steel/metal and other materials. Locations: West Milwaukee & South Milwaukee.

Responsibilities

• Move materials to work areas in preparation for building products
• Load & unload trucks
• Order picking
• Coordinate and stage materials quickly and safely
• Read blueprints to determine materials necessary for projects as well as timelines to prepare for projects

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a material handler
• Previous forklift experience (sit-down); overhead crane experience a plus
• 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment
• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Must be highly motivated; able to communicate and work well with others
• Pay attention to details and have a strong drive to succeed
• Must pass competency test and pre-employment physical including drug screen
• Ability to read blueprints to pick appropriate materials
