About The Position
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Powered Industrial Equipment. The operator uses lift equipment to move, load, unload, and stack products in preparation for shipping and receiving to meet customer needs.
Shifts and Compensation
- A Shift: Mon thru Thurs, 5am to 3:30pm ($22.50 per hour)
- B Shift: Mon thru Thurs, 4pm to 2:30am ($24.50 per hour)
- C Shift: Fri, Sat, and Sun, 6am to 6:30pm ($25.50 per hour)
Responsibilities
- Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution (reach, slip sheet, push/pull equipment, drive-in pallet racking).
- Load, unload, and store products and materials.
- Stack and transport materials to designated areas.
- Use equipment to scan product and print labels.
- Complete paperwork and operate inventory management systems as needed.
- Ensure product rotation procedures are followed.
- Complete cycle counts as required.
- Perform daily safety inspections per the Safety Checklist on forklift trucks.
- Maintain facility readiness for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
- Communicate and report any incidents to supervisor.
- May perform housekeeping duties and miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years prior forklift operating experience with standup, deep reach, cherry picker, and walkie rider. Must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain a Forklift Operator license. Candidates without this level of experience will not be considered.
- Ability to pass a forklift evaluation prior to employment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Pass background check and drug screening.
- Basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to work with others and be a team player.
