Job Summary: Under minimal supervision of the Vice President, the Global Program Manager (GPM) will drive the development, creation, and implementation of high-quality, global, coordinated cross-functional project plans for products in accordance with the program strategy.

The GPM will lead internal resources as well as resources on the client-side to develop the program, identify the goals of the program, and execute to the completion of those goals. Additionally, the GPM is responsible for the ongoing management of the programs; identifying and managing changes, tracking and monitoring internal and external program KPIs, developing plans that drive excellence in execution, ensuring continual program success, and identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement towards growth of the program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with functional leads to develop high-quality, integrated, cross-functional plans for sub-teams aligned with the overall program strategy.
  • Travel frequently to our Guadalajara, Mexico location.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment and accountability.
  • Manage department operations to ensure that assigned programs are completed according to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Communicate regularly with Taiwan headquarters and customers/clients to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss any issues.
  • Update management on the program status and any potential or existing problems.
  • Forecast potential schedule delays and develop alternative plans.
  • Drive the development and timely completion of annual WPT goals and contribute to the Global Product Strategy.
  • Document issues, decisions, and action items from functional work package teams and ad hoc project meetings.
  • Conduct risk management and scenario planning; develop contingency and risk mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate activities with external partners and alliances as applicable; contribute to successful partnership outcomes.

Staff Development:

  • Attend staff and development meetings.
  • Participate in staff training and organizational expectations.
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional attitude with all work-related contacts.
  • Communicate regularly with the VP about work concerns.
  • Meet productivity standards and perform duties as workload necessitates.

Education/Licenses/Certification:

  • Certificate in Program Management Professional (PMP).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field is required.

Skills and Specifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin or English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Flexibility with work schedules and willingness to travel to different locations (Guadalajara, Mexico).
  • Management consulting experience.
  • 5+ years' program/project management experience.
  • 5+ years' experience working in or with corporate procurement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to relate well with clients and suppliers.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to establish, develop, and manage relationships with executives.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
