Product Owners (POs) are organizationally aligned with business lines supporting Product Management and are members of the technology solution delivery teams. They focus on business-based product delivery related to clients' technology service products and solutions, from strategic planning to tactical delivery. Responsibilities include implementing product and service solutions through business engagement, understanding business needs, active decision-making, and technology delivery. Relationship management extends to stakeholders, customers, senior leadership, IT teams, and external partners.
Responsibilities:
Work with business sponsors/stakeholders and IT staff to manage the product lifecycle.
Specifically:
- Responsible for ownership and prioritization of the technology solution delivery teams’ backlog(s).
- Ensure business requirements and technical documentation align with business inputs by writing and/or approving business rules, user stories, and dependencies.
- Play a key role in quality control as the only team member empowered to accept stories as done.
- Advocate for business needs by applying a deep understanding of processes, goals, and problems.
- Ensure product vision is communicated to the delivery teams.
- Verify that delivered outputs meet business requirements.
