Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide monthly inputs to the Monthly Status Report
  • Provide support to the JSSO core missions
  • Ensure processing of received taskings through the Joint Staff Action Processing (JSAP) management system/Enterprise Task Management System (ETMS2)
  • Ensure program tasks are accomplished on time and with quality across sub-disciplines including:
    • INFOSEC: Classification Management; Security Incident Tracking; Security Incident Inquiries; Security Training
    • COMSEC: Implement and operate the JS COMSEC account; support COMSEC processes and KMI operations
    • PERSEC: Personnel security processing for collateral and SCI clearances; training and guidance
    • Privacy Act: Privacy program policy updates, SORNs, PIAs, breach reporting, training
    • OPSEC: OPSEC program development and awareness, reviews, and public-release assessments
    • PHYSEC: SCIF management, training, inspections, access control, and mobile devices
    • InT: Insider Threat program operations, training, records management
  • Provide subject matter expertise for other Security disciplines as required
  • Knowledge and qualifications alignment with program requirements
  • Knowledge and Qualifications

    • Fluent in English; ability to read, write, and comprehend government documentation
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Working knowledge of U.S. Government security programs
    • Ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate security programs to meet mission requirements
    • Ability to review, analyze, and resolve complex issues
    • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
    • COMSEC Specialist: IAEC2112 Certification from NSA required; EKMS course required
    • InT Specialist: NITTF Hub Operations Course and CDSE InT 312 Course (or CCITP-F) required
    • PHYSEC Specialist: ODNI SCIF course or equivalent required
    • TS/SCI eligible clearance
    • Experience providing quality customer service to government personnel, military, contractors, and visitors
