Summary: An Office Manager will drive a world-class Total Patient Experience that maximizes retail sales while supporting patients’ medical needs. This role is responsible for the overall sales and profitability of an office location and for managing all operations, including team member support, merchandising, inventory management, training, and safety. The Office Manager executes the Total Patient Experience (TPE) to drive revenue and profitability and exercises independent judgment in managing the performance of the entire retail operation. A Licensed Office Manager will possess a State Optician’s License for states where required by the company.
Responsibilities
- Direct and execute the overall sales and profitability of an individual office location through the effective execution of Total Patient Experience (TPE).
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with the doctors associated with the office location and serve as liaison between doctor and office team.
- Human Resource Management: recruitment, selection, training, coaching, and development of team members, including coaching on KPI scorecard results.
- Conduct performance reviews and compensation evaluations for the office team.
- Exercise judgment and utilize tools to achieve revenue and EBITDA growth.
- Motivate team members by maintaining a positive environment and communicating changes or news in a supportive, constructive way.
- Maintain facility to corporate standards including building, equipment, parking lot, grounds, and safety rules, HIPAA & OSHA requirements, hazardous material handling and waste disposal.
- Monitor and enforce Company cash handling policies and procedures, including petty cash, and submit required financial documents accurately and on schedule.
- Execute day-to-day operations of the office: team member scheduling, weekly meetings, report generation, inventory assessment, supply ordering, and team member training.
Qualifications
- Industry-related experience will be beneficial.
- Management experience required.
- Favorable result on background check as required by state.
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
Education and/or Experience
- HSD or GED
- ABO, NCLE, LDO could be preferred
Licenses and Credentials
- State Optician’s License where required by the company
Systems and Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Location
- Work is primarily performed in a standard office or clinical setting. Travel to other locations may be required to carry out essential duties.
Physical Requirements
- The role involves physical activity including walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Requires good visual and auditory acuity and use of hands for grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology. Occasional driving or climbing may be necessary.
