Learner Education is hiring: Online SAT / Test Prep Tutor in Chicago

Overview

SAT/Test Prep Tutor (Contract) – Remote. Hours: Set Your Own Schedule. Pay: $35.00/hr for Test Prep; $25.00/hr for Academic Subjects. We are on a mission to empower students, helping them reach their full academic potential through personalized tutoring that meets unique needs. Our flexible, remote tutoring options aim to make learning accessible to a diverse range of students, no matter where they are located.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated SAT Tutors who are passionate about making a positive impact in students\' academic journeys. As an SAT Tutor with Learner Education, you\'ll help guide students through SAT preparation, all while enjoying the flexibility of remote work and a schedule that works for you.

Application Deadline: Apply by September 31 to join our September 19 – September 30 onboarding window. We contract tutors monthly and begin onboarding in alignment with student demand.

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree required
• Minimum 3 years of professional tutoring or teaching experience
• At least 1 year of online tutoring experience
• Ability to tutor all sections of the SAT
• Relevant teaching experience and familiarity with the U.S. curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Availability during peak hours (Monday-Thursday, 3-10 PM ET) is a plus; broader weekday and weekend availability is welcome
• Fast, reliable internet connection
• A computer or laptop, a stylus pen (highly recommended for annotation), and headphones
• Professional, quiet tutoring environment
• U.S.-based bank account and SSN
• All SAT tutors also tutor Academic Subjects; SAT prep sessions paid at $35/hr and academic subjects at $25/hr

Additional Notes

Note: We are currently recruiting tutors for our Fall 2025 onboarding cohort. Tutors contracted between June, July, and August will begin onboarding in August or September, aligned with student demand. Onboarding windows will be communicated at the time of contracting.
