Job Description
- Develop enhancements in line with upgrades, such as meeting Canada AntiSpam requirements.
- Revise strategies to adapt logic for JDK 1.5 by updating hundreds of classes to utilize newer features like Generics and Auto-boxing. Modify caching mechanisms to incorporate newer methods and approaches provided by the framework. Make changes to the Reporting server and Contact server, where significant custom code exists. Upgrade security mechanisms and encryption methodologies for passwords and credit card last digit storage. Collaborate with the network and logistics teams to upgrade hardware and operating systems as required by the framework.
- Senior Java Developer for development projects.
- UI development and Content server management.
- Utilize Eclipse IDE for development tasks.
- Use tools like Mercury Test Director for bug tracking.
- Design, engineer, test, document, and maintain code.
- Estimate, plan, and report on development tasks; ensure timely delivery.
Qualifications
At least 5+ years of experience in IT.
Strong experience in Java, specifically with Blue Martini.
Experience with ATG and Retail domain is an added advantage.
Proven ability to coordinate with offshore teams, handle customer interactions, and negotiate effectively.
