Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $63.00/hr

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting is a reflection of a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided pay range.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in Java and Spring Ecosystem, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in database management systems, software development methodologies, and integrating AI/ML models into applications. This role involves developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance microservices to support our back-office operations and field agents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Implement microservices with service discovery, circuit breakers, and API Gateway solutions (Spring Cloud Gateway or AWS API Gateway preferred).
• Ensure microservices are designed following 12-factor app principles.
• Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes for container orchestration and Docker for containerization.
• Utilize AWS cloud services (EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS) for application deployment and management.
• Work with Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL for database management, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Use ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA for database interactions.
• Implement messaging and event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka or similar platforms (RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS).
• Integrate AI/ML models into Java applications using frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch and cloud services like AWS SageMaker or Azure ML.

Security & Testing:

• Apply secure coding practices and implement OAuth2, JWT for authentication and authorization.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in database management systems.
• 3+ years of experience in coding, testing, and designing software.
• 3+ years of experience in software development methodologies.
• Proficient in Java 8+ and the Spring Ecosystem.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of database technologies and ORM frameworks.
• Familiarity with messaging platforms and event-driven architecture.
• Exposure to AI/ML frameworks and integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
