Overview

Ryder is hiring a Temporary Full Time Warehouse Associate in Franklin, Indiana.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly. Pay: $18.00 per hour. Schedule: First Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.

Product / Equipment

• Products being handled: HVAC products
• Equipment: RF scanner

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers
• Ensure all scanning is completed correctly
• Train dock employees on new procedures
• Ensure facility security at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping
• Perform picking and packing duties; check for product or container damage
• Perform tasks per location policies and procedures, including handling materials within related transactions
• Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions
• Participate in workgroups and team activities for self-improvement and warehouse operations
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.), including basic maintenance and issue recognition
• May be required to operate manual and/or automated warehouse/m manufacturing equipment (e.g., a packaging line) – intermediate preferred
• Powered industrial truck certification
• Ability to read and perform basic math in English for safety and work instructions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to input data into WMS systems
• Ability to work overtime as assigned
• Ability to build professional relationships at all levels and work independently or as part of a team
• Flexible, self-driven, and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills
