Overview

NEFCO is seeking a Warehouse Logistics Associate. Edge, a division of NEFCO Construction Supply, provides distribution of construction products to contractors, industrial entities, municipalities, and government entities. Edge is over 65 years old, privately held, and spans 5 states with 9 locations, headquartered in Spokane, Washington. We offer rental, repair, customer training, and other professionally customizable services, with over 30,000 products from more than 200 manufacturers including power tools, hand tools, safety equipment, abrasives, fasteners, hangers, strut, ladders and other trade tools, equipment, & material handling products.

Responsibilities

  • Supports distribution operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing of construction supply material, and dispatching delivery trucks.
  • Provides general assistance, including pulling and staging orders.
  • Maintains bin locations; ensures safety, organization, and cleanliness of the warehouse.
  • Assists in cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Attends safety training and meetings; follows rules and regulations.
  • Performs forklift inspections and reports; operates forklift.
  • Communicates consistently with management and branch personnel.
  • Verifies inventory against purchase orders; receives inventory into the NEFCO ERP software; stages/shelves inventory; uses RF technology to pick orders; sends picked orders to packing; packs goods; loads trucks in a specified sequence.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Ability to use NEFCO’s ERP software system.
  • Ability to use warehouse layouts for planning; basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook is a plus; basic computer skills.
  • Positive, hard-working attitude; ability to multitask; excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to stand on concrete floors for long periods; work in climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity.
  • Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl, and twist for lifting; safe lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to read and interpret computer images and written documents; operate warehouse equipment (including forklifts) and be recertified.
  • Detail-oriented, hands-on, able to adapt to fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime.

Details

  • Monday – Friday, 8am–5pm
  • Typically 40 hours; OT available depending on branch needs

Salary

$17-18 per hour
