Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a qualified Lumber Truck Driver for our trucking division based in Eugene, Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial truck driver, or a training opportunity with the qualifications below. We offer up to a $1,500 hiring bonus. Lumber Truck Drivers earn $28 per hour. We train and promote from within. Excellent low-cost health benefits. Retirement plan with employer-paid contributions. Paid vacation and 10 holidays.

We are a fourth-generation family-owned company and one of the largest lumber and millwork producers in the United States, with more than 6,000 employees across state-of-the-art facilities including manufacturing, custom wood-framed windows, fabrication, millwork, veneer, cogeneration, trucking, forestry, and other operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive lumber trucks in accordance with traffic laws
• Load and secure lumber loads and transport to destination
• Tarping of loads as needed
• Perform daily inspection of truck
• Learn and operate onboard computerized time and load info tracking
• Meet dispatch schedules on time
• Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner
• Overnight travel required

Qualifications

• Must have Class A license, current medical card, clean DMV record and good work references
• Preference given to applicants with commercial truck driving experience or educational equivalent
