Job Description
Design of Universal Discovery and uCMDB High-Level Architecture.
Develop dedicated UD probes and UD S&F Web Servers at the 3 primary NOCs.
Develop dedicated physical UD probes, UD Store, and Forward Web Servers.
Develop four (4) Universal Discovery Store and Forward Web Servers.
Design UD probes to send CI data upstream to existing uCMDB servers based on region; uCMDB will assign/tag CIs as "unmanaged" based on the UD system used.
Design regional uCMDBs to collect and aggregate data from Discovery Probes.
Integrate four (4) existing uCMDBs into the expanded design.
Expand the current design to support a fifth uCMDB for capacity growth.
Incorporate physical servers, virtual servers, Unix OS, and Oracle 11g.
Include three (3) uCMDB application servers and two (2) uCMDB database servers into the unified design.
Qualifications
Secret clearance required, possibly interim; Security+ certification preferable but not mandatory.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High-level architectural expertise in UD/UCMDB, especially in segmented networks with firewalls, load balancers, and XML firewalls. Deep knowledge of discovery security, ports/protocols/services, and regionalized/aggregated uCMDB implementations.
Experience in defining database requirements and identifying UD/uCMDB information needs.
Experience in configuration hardening to meet SRGs (STIGs) for security compliance.
Over 10 years of UD/uCMDB experience.
Over 5 years of experience in configuration hardening to STIGs.
