Career Area: Finance

What You Will Do

• Financial accounting and reporting for the Energy & Transportation (E&T) Segment, including monthly closing tasks, Form M analysis and preparation for Actuals and Forecasts.
• Provide insightful analysis and commentary on relevant financial data and metrics to a variety of business stakeholders across the segment.
• Collaborate with Corporate Forecasting and the Financial Analysis Reporting Group as well as the divisions within Energy & Transportation to meet reporting deadlines and deliverables.

What You Have

• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree concentrated in Accounting or related fields; 3+ years of job-related experience
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
• Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
• Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

Compensation

Summary Pay Range: $110,520.00 - $165,840.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
