Position Summary
The Director of FP&A will lead the Finance team, partnering with R&D and G&A departments, supporting corporate planning, and process improvements. The role requires collaboration with senior leaders and is ideally based in Waltham, MA, working remotely with team members across the US. Reports to the SVP of FP&A.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial and strategic support to R&D and G&A teams
- Develop and present financial results and analysis to various audiences
- Create financial plans and forecasts for operating expenses
- Manage departmental spending and forecasts
- Facilitate budgeting and forecasting processes
- Coordinate with accounting on month-end, quarter-end, and external reporting
- Analyze corporate results, trends, and variances
- Improve processes, systems, and data visualization for FP&A
- Support strategic initiatives like business development and financing strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/CPA preferred; 9-12 years of experience
- Experience in pharma/biotech or consulting preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent working skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, Planning/Reporting, BI tools
- Experience with finance process improvements, financial modeling, AI tools a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of accounting processes
The annual base pay range is $189,000-$231,000, with potential bonuses and equity. Ardelyx offers comprehensive benefits including 401(k), parental leave, health plans, and more.
