Overview
About SBA Home North Carolina — the first production facility in the USA by SBA Group, a furniture manufacturer from the EU member country Lithuania, with operations starting in late 2025. The facility will be highly robotic and automated, with products reaching millions of homes in the US. We are looking for a Facility Electrician who is motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to support our production and maintenance teams with expert electrical knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, control panels, outlets, and power distribution throughout the facility.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in machinery, production equipment, and facility infrastructure.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for installations and repairs.
- Support production operations by quickly responding to facility-wide issues and restoring service to minimize disruptions.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to install new systems, upgrade existing systems, and support facility improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections for compliance and tracking purposes.
- Monitor and manage energy usage by ensuring efficient operation of electrical systems and facility lighting.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, occupational safety, fire safety, and environmental standards when performing tasks.
- Monitor tools, materials, and work conditions to minimize risks and inefficiencies.
- Inspect and test electrical systems and equipment using appropriate tools and meters to verify proper function.
- Promptly report equipment faults or hazards to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Degree in electrical or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a facility electrician in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical installations and systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and programming issues.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
