Description

Work alongside the Foundation Model Research team to optimize inference for cutting-edge model architectures. Collaborate with product teams to develop production-grade solutions for launching models serving millions of customers in real-time. Build tools to identify bottlenecks in inference across different hardware and use cases. Mentor and guide engineers within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Experience leading and managing complex, ambiguous projects.
  2. Experience with high-throughput services at supercomputing scale.
  3. Proficiency in deploying applications on Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or equivalent) using Kubernetes and Docker.
  4. Knowledge of GPU programming with CUDA and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Proficiency in building and maintaining systems in modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Python).
  2. Understanding of deep learning architectures such as Transformers and encoder/decoder models.
  3. Experience with NVIDIA TensorRT-LLM, vLLM, DeepSpeed, NVIDIA Triton Inference Server.
  4. Skill in writing custom CUDA kernels using CUDA or OpenAI Triton.

At Apple, base pay is part of a comprehensive compensation package, determined within a range based on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The role's base pay range is between $166,600 and $296,300.
