We are seeking motivated Civil Litigation Defense Attorneys/Associates to handle a diverse caseload. The role involves engaging in all phases of litigation, including court appearances, pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, pre-trial preparation, and trials. You will play a key role in client relationships and case strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in civil litigation defense cases from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses for depositions and trials.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies and provide legal counsel.
  • Maintain accurate time records and meet billable hour requirements.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-bar civil litigation experience.
  • Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation.

Salary and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $125,000 – $185,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Attorney Hours Bonus Program: Annual bonus of $120 per hour billed and paid by clients over the minimum billable hours requirement (1,860 hours annually). Bonuses are typically pre-paid quarterly if on track.
