POSITION SUMMARY
The City of Grandview is accepting applications for the Full Time position of Human Resources Generalist. This position, under the direction of the Human Resources Director, is responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day administrative duties within the HR department, providing support as well as support to the Human Resources Director in overall initiatives and goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides a variety of moderate to complex technical and administrative support in all areas of Human Resources.
- Designs and implements full-cycle recruitment efforts, building a growing and strong talent pipeline to source and attract talent to City jobs.
- Prepares and manages interview guides and applicant tracking.
- Ensures all internal HR processes are completed upon hire, separation, transfer, and promotions.
- Responsible for conducting and coordinating new employee onboarding, including new employee orientation.
- Conducts exit and stay interviews.
- Responds to supervisory questions regarding general HR policy, procedure, and expectations.
- Verifies and enters data into various HR systems.
PAY
$27.76 to 37.48 /hourly depending on experience and qualifications. Grandview has an excellent benefits package including L6 LAGERS pension plan, Health, Dental and Vision, Deferred Compensation and generous paid time off benefits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of three years’ experience in HR planning, Learning and Development, Recruitment and HRIS systems. Strong technical knowledge of HR policies and practices. Business level written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong attention to detail. Familiarity with Workers Compensation and Unemployment programs. Experience in administration of employee health and benefit programs. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field; Professional Certification, such as one or more of the following: IPMA-CP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP; 3-5 years of experience administering HR policies and procedures preferred.
