Overview
Holtec Decommissioning International (HDI) seeks qualified applicants for the position of Human Resource Manager based at Palisades Nuclear Generating Station, Palisades, MI. The Human Resources Manager performs project cost and cash flow forecast and supervises project installation and inspection activities. Palisades Nuclear Power Plant is positioned to become the first nuclear power plant in the United States to restart after previously entering the early stages of decommissioning.

Responsibilities
- Provides Human Resource consulting and problem-solving solutions to business leaders and operates as a full member of the business leaders' management team.
- Interfaces with business leaders and the HR organization, contributing to business strategy by helping identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes; works closely with Legal, Finance, Labor Relations, and Regulatory Services.
- Delivers strategic HR services to internal clients, including strategic staffing plans, headcount projections and talent sourcing strategies; facilitates organizational design and organizational effectiveness programs; supports leadership development, succession planning, and workforce readiness.
- Provides performance management support, including performance management and compensation support; supports Labor Relations with development and implementation of Labor strategies; promotes a strong leadership and coaching culture; supports large enterprise-wide and specific projects with subject matter expertise and change management.
- Identifies opportunities for HR to add value to the business; maintains knowledge of progressive HR practices and trends; communicates and shares best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement.
Education, Licenses And Certifications Required
- B.S. Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related HR experience with a broad range of employees (union/non-union, exempt/non-exempt); or 10 years of supervisory experience. Experience consulting management on strategic staffing, workforce planning, organizational design, leadership development, succession planning, compensation, labor relations, employee relations, project management, organizational effectiveness principles, metrics, and organizational change.
Desired
- Experience in a direct HR consulting role with internal customers is highly desired.
- Advanced degree and/or SPHR/PHR certification is a plus.
Required Skills
- Substantial business acumen and understanding of the link between HR and business strategy.
- Technical knowledge of Human Resources (Employee Relations, Compensation, Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Organizational Design, and Compliance).
- Knowledge of HR policies and practices and their application to client needs.
- Working knowledge of state and federal employment law (e.g., Title VII) and ability to apply it practically to workplace situations.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide objective and creative solutions to client issues; maintain confidentiality; and champion change.
- Ability to build effective relationships with employees and leadership; adapt approach/style.
- Ability to champion HR initiatives; strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High initiative, responsibility, and adaptability to consulting across multiple client groups.
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and ability to work with minimal supervision; proficient in Microsoft Office.
