Job Description
- Responsible for pre-employment screenings, including background and reference checks.
- Assist with new hire onboarding and assimilation.
- Report new hires to state and federal governments.
- Provide front desk coverage at lunchtime on in-office days and when the Receptionist is out of the office.
- Process personnel actions to Payroll.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.
- Process employment verifications.
- Assist with special HR projects (salary surveys, position descriptions, HR-related research).
- Attend weekly meetings.
- Monitor department email account; addresses employee questions and forwards emails to other HR team members as necessary.
- This is a hybrid position with 3 days in TRI's Bethesda, Maryland office, and 2 days working remotely.
Job Requirements
- 0-2 years progressive Human Resources experience.
- Dedication to TRI team and customer service values with a strong emphasis on responsiveness, professionalism and diplomacy.
- Proficient in both verbal and written communication.
- Capable of working independently as well as within a team.
- Skilled at time-management and multi-tasking to meet deadlines and achieve deliverables.
- Experienced in safeguarding highly confidential information.
- Embraces a collaborative approach and excels at supporting and empowering other team members.
