Responsibilities

  • Customer Service, Accountability, and Teamwork.
  • Benefits Administration.
  • Workers’ Comp / FMLA / Disability / Leave Management.
  • Completes HR Transactions and Reporting.
  • Recruitment and Selection.
  • New Employee Onboarding.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of HR functional areas and programs, preferably as they apply to employment with the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal and external customers, and employees at all levels of the organization.

Able to provide interpretation, explanation, and resolution of issues related to organizational HR policies and procedures. Proficient with computer systems and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, and HRIS systems.

Additional Considerations

  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred.
  • Notary Public or willing and eligible to become a Notary preferred.
  • Working experience in a state agency.
  • Cardinal, PageUp, Kronos, and other HR systems.
