Job Summary
This role performs human resources-related duties for a manufacturing company and carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: safety, benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, onboarding, and recruitment.

Director of Operations
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, walking and lifting up to 35lbs.

Job Responsibilities
- Co-Champion safety program - Maintain OSHA 300 log
- Bi-weekly payroll processing
- Manage the recruiting and hiring process
- New employee on-boarding and orientation
- Manage Employee Development and Training
- Benefits Administration
- Manage worker comp and NYS disability
- Policy creation/changes and deployment
- Company event planning (2 shift operation)
- Conflict Resolution amongst employees
- Present and report monthly HR measures
- Create strategies to increase morale
- Champion and attend offsite job fairs and recruiting events
- Facilitate yearly performance evaluations
- Provide administrative support to supervisors and manage special projects as required
Required Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Payroll processing
- Working understanding of Federal and State compliance laws, rules and regulations
- Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent oral, written, verbal, and time management skills
- Flexibility to quickly shift priorities
Preferred Skills
- Epicor/Vista knowledge helpful
- Paychex software
- Background in Manufacturing
