Overview
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead HR initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role identifies organizational HR needs and develops, implements, and sustains programs that support employee engagement, development, and performance. The HR Manager provides leadership across day-to-day HR operations, drives change management efforts, and leads training and development initiatives to foster an employee-oriented culture. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in employment law, employee relations and development, talent acquisition, training and development, and continuous improvement. Strong project management, analytical thinking, time management, interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Success requires emotional intelligence, intellectual courage, and the ability to make sound decisions quickly while remaining consultative and solution-focused. This position is a key member of the broader HR team, collaborating with colleagues across corporate and plant locations.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Communications, or related field required
- MBA preferred
- Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification OR SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
- Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
- 7+ years of HR Management experience
- Prior HR experience in a manufacturing setting required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge and experience with HRIS systems; UKG preferred
- Broad knowledge of HR disciplines including compensation, employment law, performance management, organizational planning, diversity, development, employee relations, safety, continuous improvement and training development
- Strong written and verbal communication with diverse audiences
- Computer skills for word processing and spreadsheets required
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and proactively address risk related to people management; conduct fair and accurate investigations
- Comply with, advocate, and support Health, Safety & Environmental programs; promote health and wellness initiatives
- Collaborate with central HR teams (HRIS, Benefits, Compensation) to create innovative HR programs
- Ensure accurate data entry and data integrity in UKG/HRIS; partner with business leaders accordingly
- Foster a learning environment; support skill training, professional development, and continuous improvement across all levels
- Provide guidance to leaders on performance coaching, performance improvement plans, individual development plans, succession planning, and salary planning
- Support workforce planning, organizational redesign, talent reviews, job descriptions, promotions
- Partner with business leaders; serve as a member of the leadership team
- Project manage various initiatives and lead company-wide projects from Business Partners and Corporate HR
- Align HR programs with business needs in collaboration with HR and Shared Services
- Act as primary liaison between employees, management and Company headquarters
- Interpret and communicate policies; ensure compliance with ADA, FLSA, FMLA and EEO/AAP
- Coach and advise managers on policy adherence, conflicts, disciplinary actions, performance improvement, and legal guidelines
- Promote a strong employer-employee relationship; oversee personnel records management
- Act as Change Agent; facilitate communication across all levels to promote a high-performing, engaged workforce
- Coordinate employee events
- Manage HR Department Plant Budget

Location note: Spartanburg, SC | Salary: $100,000.00-$115,000.00; Moore, SC | $80,000.00-$100,000.00
