Overview
Target is hiring for a Human Resources Expert. You are part of a HR team that supports store leaders to build a sales force that delivers guest experiences and fosters a positive work environment. The role emphasizes workload planning, scheduling, compliance, and guest-focused service.
Responsibilities
- Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address talent and staffing needs for each area of the business, ensuring the right mix of experience and enthusiasm to deliver on in-store and digital experiences.
- Lead focused recruiting to help store leaders hire candidates with the right skills and experience to serve guests.
- Support team member and leader training needs and advocate for continuous learning.
- Act as an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
- Be approachable, listen to team members, and collaborate with leaders to take action as needed.
- Deliver on HR processes and programs to maximize engagement and minimize disruption.
- Help leaders follow company compliance policies to mitigate risk to the team member experience.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks and assist guests when needed.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Perform other duties based on business needs.

- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Lift up to 10 pounds regularly without additional assistance.
- Capable of working in varying temperatures and elements while performing duties (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
- Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
