Position Description: CGI has an immediate need for a Business Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hybrid role (3 days onsite in Reston, VA) leveraging advanced data analytics and business process modeling to support financial asset analysis, risk management, and data governance initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop analytical tools, and support the valuation and modeling of financial instruments.
- Enhance data governance practices and support enterprise-wide data initiatives.
Required qualifications
- Strong experience in requirements analysis and business process modeling
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and BI tools such as MicroStrategy or Tableau
- Solid understanding of relational and dimensional data models
- Familiarity with fixed income instruments, mortgage-backed securities (MBS), and risk management principles
- Experience with data governance frameworks and tools
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills; able to manage multiple priorities
- Experience working in AWS environments is a plus
- Knowledge of hedging instruments (e.g., swaps, swaptions) is highly desirable
- Certifications such as FRM or CFA are advantageous
- 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
